The Herons Have It

A Wood Stork (on the right), is enjoying one of the hotel ponds along with a Great Blue Heron and a Little Blue Heron. I don't think he felt out-numbered though, as he was the aggressive one.

I think he found his pad and he is waiting for a mate!

What did the Wood Stork do to seem aggressive? All looks serene at the pond. MB

Uma Por Dia: I think so!! LOL

MB: He was originally behind the Great Blue and snapped at him on his way by, then he kept chasing off the Little Blue if it got to close. It does look very serene!

I guess they're like people and don't want anyone else in their 'space'.
What a neat little pond.

It must have been quite a cow pasture at one time and what a dazzling community they've created!! Glad that nature was not ousted.

Janice: I guess! I've been noticing a lot of aggressiveness amongst birds lately ... I guess I just wasn't paying attention before.

Mirage2g: Glad I could accommodate! I've been shooting a lot of birds lately ... with my camera. Thanks for visiting!

Isadora: She's back!! Isadora is back!! LOL ... thanks for stopping by, I've been missing you!

My daughter used to cry when they started developing this community, telling me to stop them because they were destroying the beauty there. She was only seven or eight at the time.
