Hawks, Two

1) I took several photos of the hawk sitting on this lamp post at the head of the hotel driveway. But, I was really there to shoot hot air balloons.

2) When I turned from shooting the hawk to shoot this balloon ...

3) The hawk flew to the other side of the hotel entryway and landed on this lamp post. Notice how he never stops looking at me.

4) I walked around the median and nearly got a shot of the hawk sitting there with this balloon floating by, but just as I snapped the shutter he flew off ...

5) scooped up his prey from the road, and took it to the middle of the fairway.

Be here tomorrow for more of the hawk, and maybe a balloon or two. I spotted at least fifteen balloons in the sky that morning. None of these photos have been cropped.

You have hawks now too! These are magnificent, I wish I could get that close, but they just fly over and off.
