Swamp Thing

Why swamp thing? This part of Champions Gate, and northward for a couple of miles, is known as the Davenport Swamp. I've noticed lately that the thickness of the wooded area seems to be subsiding. You can see many dead or dying trees, as you can see in this photo as well. According to the Master Plan for Champions Gate, I don't believe this area will be developed, but the development around it must be having this affect on the swamp.

This is another sunrise shot from October 4, 2008.

Great that it is not going to be redeveloped. Swampland is so important for wildlife and is disappearing so fast around the world. What wild lide is in your swampland?

Bonjour George,
It's a great shot. The contrast between the sky and the ground is really beautiful. Also, the circular thick illuminated cloud looks like there is some kind of explosion in the sky.
The moss hanging from the tree is really interesting too.
However despite this charming and great photo, I am not sure I would like to live in such a swamp because:
1. mosquitos
2. I have asthma
Bonne soiree :-)
